FAQs

What are the dates of the 2022 Hoops For Hope and how much does it cost?

Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Clackamas High School. Cost is $150 per team.

When is the official registration deadline?

All registrations must be in by August 31, 2022.  Sorry, we are unable to accept late registrations.

How many players are allowed on a team?

Each team is allowed up to four registered players and must have a minimum of three.

What if one of our players gets injured or can’t play? Can we pick up a replacement player? Or if I want to make roster changes for any reason, how do I do that and what is the deadline?

You may contact us at any time before your first game to notify us of your roster change.  Please note that the new player must still fall into the age bracket that you would be playing for. (See “Do all players have to be the same age”).

How many games will we play?

There is a minimum of 3 games.  However, you may play more based on how many teams are signed up in each age division.

How do we find out when and where our games are?

We will do our best to notify teams and post schedules Friday, September 9th by 6:00PM

Will my team have games on different courts?

Games will be located at Clackamas High School and possibly East Campus. You may play on different courts, but will be at the high school facility.

I completed the registration payment process. How do I know for sure that my team is in the tournament?

You will receive an email confirmation.

I went through the online registration process, but was not able to complete the payment step at the end. Is my team registered?

If you do not receive an email confirming you are signed up, please email us to confirm.

Do all team members have to be the same age?

No. You can build your team however you like. Keep in mind, however, that it may not be possible to bracket teams with very diverse player characteristics against other teams of similar makeup. Teams are required to register for the division matching the age of their oldest player. For example, a team with three 4thgraders and a 3rdgrader will register in the 4thgrade division.

Can I play on more than one team?

No. For now, the tournament scheduling does not allow for players to play on multiple teams.

What height is the hoop?

All ages will play on 10 foot hoops.

Should my team enter the Elite Division?

While we will do our best to have divisions at each age division.  This will depend on how many teams register at each level.  If you play competitive basketball, please indicate you would like to play in the elite division and we will do our best to match teams up accordingly.

Do the winners get awards?

YES!!!

If we have a conflict that we know of for that day, can we request special game times?

We will do our best to accommodate any special requests due to previous scheduled conflicts. For a better chance for us to accommodate your team, please notify us ASAP so that we can work around it to the best of our ability.

Is there other entertainment for us to do there?

YES!  We will have a live DJ, food carts, various vendors and some inflatables with competitions! It will be a whole family event that you will not want to miss.

How do I request vendor space at the tournament?

We do have space for vendors in the main courtyard area.  Please contact John Barhoum at john.barhoum@chockbarhoum.com for more details.
